Import/Export Trinidad and Tobago

The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is the southernmost island in Caribbean. It is recognized as a high-income economy and it is the number 88 export economy in the world.
Its economy mostly relies on industry with a focus on petroleum gas.
Basically, much of the nation's wealth is derived from its large reserves of oil and natural gas which make Trinidad and Tobago a country based on commodity exports, other than tourism. Its strenghts are petroleum gas, ammonia, iron and steel. As part of Caribbean, it has significant economic potential and growth opportunities. However, it is extremely vulnerable to natural hazards, and is now facing hard economic impacts due to COVID-19 pandemic. (World Bank)
