World Blood Donor Day

Today is World Blood Donor Day. This day was established to raise awareness of the importance of blood donations to our healthcare system. It is fundamental the commitment of those who, for free, make this gesture of solidarity on behalf of so many patients. The goal of the World Health Organization's campaign is to draw attention to the need to push more and more voluntary donations. Blood scarcity is especially serious in underdeveloped nations.
