Garden Umbrellas: import and export

Garden umbrellas have evolved over the centuries: from symbols of status and luxury they have become practical accessories for everyday outdoor living, reflecting changes in society and technology. Originating as status symbols in ancient Egypt and China, they were later adopted by Roman and Greek cultures and introduced to Europe. For a long period, they were considered luxury items. However, the Industrial Revolution made them more affordable and durable due to material innovations, which nowadays continue to improve their functionality and aesthetics.

In 2022, garden umbrellas were the world's 1637th most traded product, with a total trade of $1.71B and between 2021 and 2022 the exports of garden umbrellas grew by 3.01%, from $1.66B to $1.71B.
