During the last 26 years the exports of Germany to China have increased at an annualized rate of 11.8%, from $6.58B in 1995 to $121B in 2021.

In 2020, Germany exported services to China worth $14.9B, with Royalties and license fees ($6.09B), Other business services ($5.48B), and Transportation ($3.08B) being the largest in terms of value.

Origins 

In October 2023 the exports of China were mainly from Guangdong Province ($1.52B), Jiangsu Province ($1.27B), Zhejiang Province ($1.11B), Shanghai Province ($791M), and Fujian Province ($525M), while imports destinations were mainly Shanghai Province ($1.95B), Beijing ($1.63B), Jiangsu Province ($1.02B), Guangdong Province ($862M), and Tianjin ($500M).

Growth

 In October 2023, the decrease in China's year-by-year exports to Germany was explained primarily by an decrease in product exports in Other Cloth Articles ($-194M or -76.7%), Telephones ($-182M or -40.5%), and Vaccines, blood, antisera, toxins and cultures ($-70M or -96.7%). In October 2023, the decrease in China's year-by-year imports  from Germany was explained primarily by an decrease in product imports  in Motor vehicles; parts and accessories (8701... ($-339M or -30.4%), Packaged Medicaments ($-138M or -24.3%), and Vaccines, blood, antisera, toxins and cultures ($-105M or -33.1%).
